Anne-Sophie and Valérie were so welcoming and kind, creating a really nurturing and lovely atmosphere. I then proceeded to book weekly acupuncture and massage sessions with Anne-Sophie the last month of my pregnancy in order to prepare for labor and I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this has been. Anne-Sophie is not only very knowledgeable about her work, but she takes the time to listen to your wants and needs with so much patience and love. You can feel how much she cares and the energy she puts into her work. I also love the sense of ritual that is infused into the experience (e.g. guided meditation, crystals, scents, energetic touch, etc). Chinese energy massages are personalized and adapted according to your needs and emotional state in the present moment. They can be combined with acupuncture, cupping therapy, and moxibustion, according to your desires and needs:
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an approach that encompasses the mind and body in order to restore balance and well-being. This traditional Chinese method, practiced for centuries, has many benefits for physical and mental health.
Cupping therapy
Chinese cupping is part of a branch of traditional Chinese medicine that has been around for over 2000 years. They are traditionally used to stimulate blood circulation, lymph, and energy in the body. They are known for their analgesic, decongestant, draining, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying effects, etc.
Moxibustion
Stimulation of acupuncture points by heat. This is produced by the combustion of a dried herb, mugwort. Moxibustion is a method of applying heat to specific areas of the skin. It is an ancestral practice that, in general, allows Qi (energy) and blood to circulate and activate in the meridians.
